Travel Agency Terms & Conditions (Independent Contractor)

Effective Date: April 26, 2025

By booking travel services through Port Side Travel by Jill, you agree to the following terms:

1. Independent Status

  • Port Side Travel by Jill operates as an independent contractor affiliated with Cornerstone Collective. I am not an employee, agent, or representative of any airline, cruise line, hotel, tour operator, or travel supplier. All travel services are arranged through third-party providers.

2. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings require a deposit to confirm your reservation. Pricing and availability are subject to change and are not guaranteed until the deposit is received.

  • Final payment due dates will be communicated at the time of booking. Per supplier policies, reservations not paid in full by the final payment date may be cancelled, and cancellation fees may apply.

  • Payments may be non-refundable, depending on the policies of the travel supplier (such as airlines, cruise lines, or tour operators).

3. Cancellations & Changes

  • Cancellation policies are determined by the individual travel providers (such as cruise lines, airlines, hotels, or tour operators).

  • Change and cancellation fees may apply, depending on the supplier’s terms.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to review and understand all applicable cancellation policies before booking.

4. Force Majeure

  • Port Side Travel by Jill is not liable for any failure or delay in performance of services due to events beyond my control, including but not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, civil unrest, war, government regulations, pandemics, or any other cause beyond my reasonable control. This includes changes made by third-party travel providers, such as airlines, cruise lines, and tour operators, that may alter schedules, pricing, or services. In such cases, I will make reasonable efforts to notify clients of any impact on their travel plans, but I am not responsible for any resulting delays, cancellations, or changes.

5. Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect you against unexpected events such as illness, trip delays, or lost baggage.

  • If you decide to decline travel insurance, you assume all associated risks and understand that no claims will be made against the agency.

  • If you choose to decline travel insurance coverage, you will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging this decision.

6. Travel Documents

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and any other required travel documents for their trip. Entry requirements vary by country, and the traveler must check and comply with all applicable regulations.

  • Confirming visa requirements well in advance is especially important, as some countries require travelers to apply and be approved before arrival. This is the client’s responsibility.

  • Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the return date of your trip. However, the client is responsible for checking and complying with the specific passport validity and entry requirements of each country you plan to visit.

7. Health Requirements

  • Clients must comply with any health requirements or regulations imposed by the destination country or airlines.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Port Side Travel by Jill acts only as a booking agent.

  • I am not responsible for acts, errors, or omissions of third-party suppliers, nor for any loss, injury, delay, or damage during travel..

  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information for bookings.

  • We are not responsible for issues caused by incorrect information (e.g., names, dates).
